Christian Louboutin is opening a men's store in New York early next year. I'm so excited, I really love he's shoes. Especially the studded ones! Alexis Mourot, chief operating officer, told WWD: "The men's shoes only represent a small portion of the business at present but we think it has huge potential for the future. We are very happy to have found a location in New York, especially one so close to our current downtown women's boutique. This store opening in New York is an important step for Christian and for the company."

I'm invited to the CATWALK 3D movie on thursday 10/11 at Röda Kvarn in Helsingborg, Sweden.
The movie is taped during fashion week in Paris 2010 and it's the first fashion show in 3D. Valentino and Jean-Paul Gaultier are two big designers who will be in the movie.
The event is a collaboration between Röda Kvarn(cinema), Gemma and Tretton, two boutiques in Helsingborg.
Before the movie, Gemma and Tretton will have a "vernissage" with swedish fashion.

Wow I love the design duo Natalia and Randa behind the label Altewai.Saome. They have STYLE it's on another level compared to the other mainstream designers in Sweden. The collection got me thinking of Prada and Marni but not in a negative way and not to forget the girls have a design background in Italy.
The collection has a ladylike touch with a sporty contemporary feel. Silk is mixed with perforated textile and neoprene.

Maripol with sweet Janique

Maripol moved to New York from France in 1976, where she became a part of the New York clubbing and music scene, styling Madonna and working on films such as Downtown 81 (starring Jean-Michel Basquiat and Deborah Harry). In the mid-1980s, she opened her own boutique, Maripolitan, in the NoHo area of New York. Maripol has also been art director on music videos for Cher, D'Angelo and Elton John, among others. Maripol was signing copies of Maripolarama and Little Red Riding Hood at the opening yesterday. I really loved the pictures and I wish I could have been a part of the NY clubbing scene in the 80's. Maripol was very sweet and also Janique's old stylist when Janique was in the group Kid Creole and the coconuts.

A MUST IN NY Alexander McQueen

Today I went with my friend the designer Gabriele Frantzen to the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
Walking up the stairs to the MMA I realized that this visit would turn out to be a great choice. We met Isabella Rosselini…
When I entered the actual Alexander McQueen, “Savage Beauty” exhibition, I felt right away that this was going to be an extraordinary exhibition. I highly recommend experienceing the audio narration; you hear the curator and some of Lees closest friends.
Being embraced by all his creativity, arranged in the most amazing innovative environment, you will be overwhelmed and experience a goose-bumps-shower.
When I glanced over to Gabriele I saw in her face the same excitement I felt inside.
To be able to observe and admire his genius collections all in one place gives me a deeper understanding of Alexander McQueen’s mind, which seemed to be from another world.
You feel his romantic and dark side in every room...tapestry’s decorated with flowers but, if you move closer, skulls and half bodies are painted on...one room filled with huge golden frames...one filled with broken wood from which air comes out, black painted rooms...are all a part of the feel the artist so intensively portrays.
You can see his perfection in each piece that he has created, as well as in the hats of Philip Treacy which complement Lees visions at their best. As the curator announces, Alexander was always as excited as a child when he opened the boxes from Philip Treacy.
Sarah Jessica Parker for example, described McQueen as a very shy person. Several other close friends of McQueens give you a much deeper understanding of this amazing designer.
Naomi Campbell mentions that his fittings for the shows went very fast as he had very clear visions and he knew exactly what he wanted.
It is very important for me to say that I really felt the dark side of his soul, and I really hope he found his peace now, as it partially says in golden letters on the black wall, there is no return...
Pictures ( which you are not allowed to take)could not even be able to tell you what we felt inside, so we HIGHLY recommend you visit the Metropolitan Museum of Art on 82nd and 5th before July .

Just met up with dearest Gabriele Frantzen. She brought me this rocky bracelet for me to wear at the event tonight at The Mondrian Hotel. She usually doesn't do jewelry for men, but makes exceptions for special stylists and actors.

When I was walking around in DUMBO i found this cute boutique, redberi. The vibe is so girly and vintage, j'adore! I met the sweet buyer Suewayne and she told me that she buys alot from Europe. This blueberi is located on 143 Front St.

I had a great meeting today with Gabriele Frantzen the designer of the bold jewlery. Gabriele launched her jewelry line in 2009. She told me that she is inspired by everything and by vintage. Gabriele is such a sweet person and I really love her jewelry. The jewelery is made from the finest Czech glass, genuine Swarovski crystals, French Silk and vintage finds, the pieces are put together by hand in the United States. If you wear her jewelry you will feel lika a STAR! Gabriele had a lot of press in Europe, like in German Vogue. She is a rising star in the United States.
