Welcome to JimmytheStylist.
I don't blog anymore but I still work in fashion, connecting brands with celebrities and I also do personal styling.
You can find my contact information and press/interviews on this site.
My dear friend Cay Bond was interviewed by Daniel Jouseff in The Culture Blog.
I was happy to make the introduction and so happy that Jouseff used the picture that I took of Cay wearing shades by SALT.
I love hanging out with her, she is funny and straight forward.
And I always learn something new from her, she knows her stuff when it comes to fashion, art and so much more.
We need more people like Cay in the fashion industry in Sweden who has the knowledge and who are not scared of voicing their opinions when they see crap in the industry.
Dearest Angelina Jolin writes about the hot spots in Santa Barbara for PLAZA MAGAZINE.
I'm happy to read that SALT is mentioned in the article.
I introduced the high-end optical brand to Jolin in September of 2015 and she loved what she saw.
Every time I'm back in the city, I make sure to visit Pat's store for inspiration and to meet likes like Leo Gugu who is a fantabulous personality who works for Pat and hosts clubs.
My dear friend Ingrid worked many years for Pat as her PR Director. I met Pat the first time in Paris at her hotel at Place de Vendome moons ago!
“I’ve enjoyed the game … but I’m getting tired,” the 74-year-old fashion icon told the Daily News. “I want to open my social life back up, and go to the gym for a swim every day. I can’t do normal things anymore, and I’m feeling it.”
Field is maybe best known for her work as "the stylist" for Sex and the city. Her first store in the West Village opened in 1966 before she moved it to the East Village in 1971, where it remained for 30 years. The current location is on 306 Bowery between Bleecker and Houston, opened in 2012.
Pat will continue costuming Sutton Foster and Hillary Duff on the TV Land series Younger (created by her SATC boss Darren Starr) and promises the best is yet to come.
I will truly miss this creative institution!
Patricia Field is closing her legendary store sometime in Spring 2016.
Last week I attended the book launch of the lovely book Mademoisselle Oiseau.
My friend told me yesterday that Martina Bonnier the Chief Editor and Fashion Director of Damerns Värld posted this picture and post on the link below. mademoiselle
I hired Jimmy because I felt that I looked boring and predictable and never ever had the "wow" factor. I needed new inspiration, better knowledge of how to combine different items, as well as someone to guide me through it all. So Jimmy and I met to talk, then went to my house to go through my closet, and we finally went shopping twice together. The whole experience turned out to be very useful and fun! And besides his knowledge and eye for style, Jimmy's sense of humor is a true asset!
For the second shopping day, Jimmy had really walked the extra mile, doing lots of background research, which made me come home with several fantastic items that I use all the time now. An added bonus was the photos of me in different outfits that I had tried on during the day - a terrific way for me to remember how to do it right without him by my side.
Jimmy has changed the way I shop, the way I look and how I feel about myself. Instead of being dreadful moments, mornings are now a fun time - I get to pick an exciting combination of clothes and accessories from my closet to spice up my day. And it is so much easier than before, now that I understand the concepts and what suits my body type.
Thanks to Jimmy, I can now walk into a room thinking: "hey, look at me - don't I look gorgeous today?" and even though looks are not supposed to be affecting my job performance, knowing that I look great makes me feel more confident and happy about myself the whole day.
Julianne Moore, Sarah Jessica Parker, Mena Suvari, Kanye West, Helena Christensen, Selma Blair, Alan Cumming and Chase Crawford were among the guests at a party last night in New York to celebrate H&M’s collaboration with Maison Martin Margiela. The unique event was held across many floors of 5 Beekman Street, a historical building in the city’s financial district. Guests were able to discover the collection in dance performances by noted choreographer Anne Teresa de Keersmaeker and through specially commissioned art installations, before DJ’s kept the party going into the early hours. The Maison Martin Margiela with H&M collection will be launched on November 15th in around 230 H&M stores worldwide.
